A feature on Tara Leaver’s Blog!

It was an honour to be featured among such talented company in a recent blog post from UK artist Tara Leaver! I was chosen, as one of seven contemporary artists, to talk about how I tackle the dreaded blank canvas! 

I shared a little of my process and the techniques I use to achieve the effects I get in my Canopy Series of paintings. 

The gallery of images below show how I work, en plein air, under the trees in my garden, capturing the shapes and shadows of the canopy above me, as they fall on my canvas.
